Our Accountability Chart Is Clear

Do you know clearly WHO is accountable for WHAT in your organization?

When the structure changes in your organization is it clearly communicated to everyone in a timely manner?

Contact SteeleBC today for a FREE 90 Minute Meeting to learn more about the Entrepreneurial Operating System® (EOS®). We will team you up with an EOS Implementer™ who will guide you through the EOS Process™ and help you strengthen the Six Key Components™ of your business.

During Focus Day™, we will work to strengthen the People Component™ of the EOS Model™ for your organization. When we talk about strengthening the People Component™, it’s about two things. We call Right People and Right Seats. These are two terms popularized by Jim Collins in his book, Good to Great. What we will do is define them more clearly and then make them a little more tangible. Right People, Right Seats…you have got to have both.

The tool that we use to help you get Right Seats is something we call an Accountability Chart. The way that works is we get together, take a big step back and we work together to identify the right structure for your organization.

The Accountability Chart is based on the assumption, the basic premise or belief that every organization has only three major, basic functions. Every organization has a marketing and sales function, every organization has an operations function and every organization has a finance function. We are going to ultimately tailor the major functions of your organization to your unique needs.

We then move to the assumption that every great organization has a fourth major function we call Integrator. The Integrator is the person who beats the drum in your organization, the glue that holds everything together, the person who drives accountability and harmoniously integrates the way that the leadership team members play together to achieve a common vision.

About 50% of the time, our clients have a clear Integrator in place running the day to day.  The other 50% of the time an organization has this fifth seat, we’ll call the Visionary that gets added to the Accountability Chart.

Visionaries are big idea people. They love staying at 30,000 feet. They come to every meeting with 20 ideas. They are the creative problem solvers. They don’t like tough conversations…that’s the work best done by Integrators. If there is a Visionary in your organization, we’ve got to call it out.

That’s the way the Accountability Chart is built at the leadership level.

At your next Organizational Checkup™, you will say…
Yes! Our Accountability Chart (organizational chart of roles and responsibilities) is clear, complete and constantly updated.
